I just had to laugh at myself with this thought Esme...... I am glad they had female offspring. Otto and Huno (my great uncles names) would not be quite as easy to accept these days.
I was a good student until I hit my junior year in college. I coasted the last two years. Sprinkling a bit of dust: sold a pair of earrings. Now, I have to make them. Going to be interesting trying to solder and buff while I'm on a walker.
My kids took after me....great students, excelling in English and Humanities. Not so much in math and science. I actually did great in Algebra in Junior High. I blame bad math teachers for my downward math spiral after that. Just because you can DO it doesn't mean you can TEACH it!
Gorgeous here today. Great day for a street party, Jen!
I have one of those Susan and I find it too low to anything jewelry related. It's great for walks and in stores but just doesn't cut it for anything bench related. I think you can buy adaptive cushions that would make it work.
M uses one of the walkers with a seat, I could borrow it, but it is too low. My physical therapist said I could start using the cane a bit, but the minute I started limping, get back on the walker. Will prob'ly try that this afternoon. Right now, I've got to find my black onyx stones. I know they are here somewhere ... prob'ly in a safe place.
I really detested academics. They just couldn't make it relevant enough. At least I went to a good school so I got great basics. Congrats to Dylan on his success with it.
And now I've done something to my arm where it hurts like hades if I try to straighten it. I can get it open to about a 125degree angle. I think tennis is a no go until I can see an orthopedic.
I do have sales dust for a beracelet and I 'think' I can make it if I'm careful.
Yes, even though we are having a party today, we put stuff out for our street sale. Surprisingly the baby clothes is a hard sell, even though I have it marked $5 to fill a bag full.
Kathy, glad you enjoyed the Hedda pics. It's nice that the old names are still used in your family. I agree about the female names being a little easier than the male.. ;)
Good luck with the yard sale Jen. I hope you get rid of some stuff. Always a good feeling.
