I'd split it in three anyway. Treat it like a layaway plan. If possible, do them as private listings from the convo.
I'm not sure why more than two is disallowed, maybe to prevent confusion? Whatever, as long as everything is understood between me and the customer, and Etsy gets their cut, my conscience would be clear.
Pennee - that stone had to be positioned in just the right place for me to neither find it or feel it.
I swear my life is a series of victories and screw ups. Yesterday we went to the deli and I got some gorgeous freshly opened roast beef and ham, sliced just the way I like it (shaved). So today we come home and I'm dreaming of that sandwich... Only to discover the bag with the deli meat got left in my car overnight. So roast beef turned into peanutbutter and jelly. :(
A custom reserved listing may consist of many different items and only be counted as one sale. I don't see a problem breaking a big ticket item into multiple sales for payment processing. It all evens out.
I think the gaming the system comes into play only if the multiple "sales" are used to inflate feedback. I don't care if a shop I'm considering has 300 or 3000 sales. But I will care if someone has been getting 3 feedback for essentially one purchase.
House here smells delightful. I was gifted a fresh pheasant breast and it's slow roasting away in the oven with rosemary, garlic, mushrooms, onions and parsley. Sherry gets added toward the end. Sides will be broccoli and wild rice with almonds. Drooling.
Chelsea says "I wear shoes in the studio...." ----- I don't. Usually just socks. Unless it's freezing and then I wear fake Ugg boots, which is the closest thing I own to slippers.
I could live off of grilled cheese. Just switch up the cheeses! Or use them all! I'm going to eat some leftover broccoli and cheese now. And then some of my birthday cake.
Oh well I didnt do it as a private listing. I have never used that and Im short on time. I set up four regular listings. whateva. It works out the same and Im not going to sweat it. This is a regular customer and I wanted to help her out.
Thanks, CG! My birthday is Christmas Eve. Never do anything for it, but my dad bought me a giant red velvet cake from one of his clients. Just trying to eat it all before its no good.
Thanks, Susan! I love your work too! Everyone here is so talented.
I think so, CG. It doesn't just have to be a pill container. It could be a container for anything small. I have someone ask me about making a ring with a hidden compartment.
