OK. So I refunded the girl for the statement ring. Next up - the confused convo as to why I cancelled it, even though I sent her a convo telling her she had until yesterday to make the second payment. The ring is now listed for sale at $215, which is a bit more than I was selling it to her. If she wants it now, she's going to have to repay the deposit plus the second payment, and the last payment is due on April 15th. Period. I don't think she's trying to jerk me around, but I'm done with it now.

A new gap in my horizon. Yesterday noticed that the 100+ foot dead pine near the house finally toppled over. It's been fully dead for at least 15 years, and was a favourite high outlook for ravens.

It wasn't even a problem, so much - just a real lack of communication from her. I find that surprising, because everyone is always so in touch ALL the time. I'll work it out with her if she wants to, but it kept showing as being three weeks overdue on the shipping, and I don't know if that affects anything, search wise.

I always just adjust the ship date. Problem is Etsy only let's you do it once. Sin e Etsy hasn't yet adopted Amazon's seller ratings for on time shipping and response time to communication I think your safe with an overdue ship time. The issue could be, ethics. You sold it at X price, you canceled not her, now it's more, if she buys she could leave bad feedback about you not honoring the original agreed upon price. Just a thought

My morning walk was less hard than yesterday, but Im already about done with ticks. This season is brutal. picked a number of them off of my clothes and another 4 off of my skin, having already taken a bite. Back, Breast, Arm, leg. Im done now.

Im as earthy crunchy as the next girl, but I HATE ticks, and there ain't enough possums in the world eat all of em.

Hoping the freeze this weekend kills them off and their mosquito friends. grrrrrr.

Oh, if she comes back, I'll give her the original price we agreed upon. I have no problem with that. And I did adjust the date, all the way out to the three weeks I could. It was still three weeks overdue, even with that. She contacted me WAY back at the beginning of February. This has been going on for almost two months now.

So I seemed to have maybe injured my arm. It's my right arm at the shoulder. I suspect it's from the stamping. Maybe I need to adjust the height of my stamping surface? I have to figure something out before I do so permanent damage. My hands are all swollen today to.

Some of this might be pregnancy related though. Joints get wonky. And swelling can happen.

Oh dear, 2 months is ridiculous. I have limited my payments to no more then 2 weeks apart. I will make exception on occasion. I have one right now that is due today. I also had a reserve that disappeared on me. she apologized eventually....but that's super annoying.

Yeah, your joints do get looser from the hormones, particularly the closer you get to the actual birth. Rest up today and let your hands de-swell (:D). Drink some water, put your feet up, do some Netflix and chill.

First sale for April, US buyer, to be shipped within Canada. Will I have any problem adjusting the shipping label address to a different country?

Refunding the $4 difference in shipping is doable.

Erin - I had a repeat good customer do that for the final payment. By the time it got paid off I was feeling like the customer may not have been so anxious to even have it anymore and I want my customers to be excited to get their jewelry. Usually what I do is the 3 payments - 2-3 weeks apart and if they miss a payment they lose a small amount & I refund the remainder paid. Thank goodness I've never had to do that. I make sure that it's all in the listing when they make the initial payment. I've done it too where I will put 'other' for payment and then send them PayPal invoices. That way I don't mark it paid and shipped until it is fully paid. If I want to give a discount I leave the price alone and give them a coupon code.

Darn Jen, sure hope it's temporary. You really did do an awful lot of stamping recently and I have no clue about proper ergonomics for that. I know my anvil for forging is too high so I have to limit what I do or pay the price. Rest is always good medicine for joints though

I'm really sad I finished my Game of Thrones books :( They were great for keeping me on my butt. I finished them all in about a month.....and now I really want the next one. I've even gotten so desperate I started reading any chapters he releases on his web site. There's been a few new ones.

CG, The last time I had a similar thing happen, the etsy labels would not let me change the country to ship to. But that was a while ago, could have changed.

This may have clarified why I have instinctively never liked the idea of taking installments....it will inevitably diminish the 'buying thrill' for many. Aside from the extra attention to the order needed.

Ha, love movies and books too but I am now finished almost every series I like on Netflix waiting for a new season. The books at least I can always find a new author. How about knitting Jen 😉
