working with new mediums!

I'm realizing it's important to have more art in our lives now that we are staying at home, looking at it! what kind of homemade art projects is everyone working on? is this quarantine time forcing you to step out of your comfort zone and try something new, work with a new medium?

Yes! I've been playing with acrylic paints. It's my new obsession, doing all kinds of paint pours that I see in beautiful YouTube videos. I was doing resin pours originally but then switched to acrylic paints since they wash off with soap and water, as opposed to resin that I found out the hard way will stick to your eyelids for a good week or more before it wears off!

I’ve only ever worked with acrylic paint, but I have done different techniques with that. Like putting water on the canvas and dipping some paint in. It makes a pretty cool water color effect!
