I have a pattern website and another website i created. I like the ease of listings my items through the Etsy listings form and i like that Etsy collects the sales tax for me as well. THe only thing i dont like is when you sell out of an item or you remove one instead of it going back to your pattern website it goes to Etsy and tries to get people to get a pattern site. Also every sale you make on pattern will also be used to pay for any Etsy shop fees you owe and any sales you make on Etsy will be used to pay for your pattern website fees. A little too connected with Etsy on that front. You definitely have to drive your own traffic to your pattern website to be found. Another thing I dont like is Etsy does not show much support for pattern as far as any mention of it in the forums or any upgrades to it. So I get worried its gonna disappear someday and all my hard work along with it. Anyways that's my take on Pattern websites If you want to see what it looks like to get an idea here is mine
