Paintings are not selling

Jump to solution

Am I doing something wrong I started out perhaps 7mths ago I have lots of views but not 1 sale I was wondering about the fact all my work is unframed but I have a valid reason it is to cut down my costs & the other they might not like the frames on the paintings, my other problem is pricing I don't want to price to low considering how much one spends on paints, canvas, paint brushes and everything else.

Hi Andrea.. I don't usually come into forums..But for some reason found an email with your topic and clicked on it

I would like to say a few things as a painter myself, and one that has learned a few things..

Your art is a unique style as it should be,, it will take someone that is attracted to your style of painting to feel compelled to purchase your art.

Do not be discouraged it takes some time to get around the inter workings of search and find.

You def want to read up on SEO.. I dont have much time right now, but the first thing I noticed is important.

Do not put the name you have given a painting as your title.. you have to think as a buyer.. not one will type in the wording you have for the most part. You need to have a title that is talking about what it is,, Oil, Acrylic, watercolor, of lake and trees.  Original painting of .... maybe the size, and type of paper or canvas. (substrate) it is painted on. I didnt look at your tags, but make sure to use them all .. they are the back end relevant keywords that people are searching for.. these are what pushes Etsy to show for certain words searched.

Don't give up dont get discouraged keep listing paintings and dont worry about other peoples prices, frames or anything else that is an opinion or personal preference. You will find your way.

The very best wishes, feel free to reach out to me if you would like

I’m having the same issue. It’s comforting to know I’m not alone.
