HunkiiDorii, it's not possible to fave your pins because the comments are turned off and, I suppose, favoriting, too... Maybe you need to turn on comments in your settings.

Thank you - I wasn't aware of that. That is strange since some people can favorite. And I haven't turned off commenting :O. But I have had that happen to others that their pin said "commenting is turned off". However, this still doesn't explain the lack of saving my pins.
