Oil paint question

Does anyone here use the water-based oil paints (the kind you use with water instead of turpentine)? I used to use them a lot, then switched to other media for a few years, and now have the urge to use them again. Have you had any problems with them? The paintings I still have that were painted years ago, still look great. I was just wondering your opinions of that type of paint. . .

Re: Oil paint question

Jill,

I've never heard of such a thing. If you don't like turpentine try odorless mineral spirits. Acrylic paints are water soluble, maybe try them?

Re: Oil paint question

Water based oil paints take a long time to dry, a bit like ordinary oil paints, but that gives you time to alter things.
Acrylics dry quickly even with retarders. For the fast and furious !
