So it’s just a .Jpg? I also read that I’d need to use a good camera if using photographs of my work (I don’t have a scanner or any other option, what with COVID) I’m guessing an iPhone camera wouldn’t be good enough? I have used my phone to take photos of my work and print via websites and they seem pretty good to me! Thanks for your help
@GreenerSoul I would suggest getting a better camera than an iPhone. It doesn't need to be super fancy and expensive. But, something with higher resolution.
@hellomynameisglam You seem to be off to a good start. Just keep making and adding items to your shop. More items = more traffic = more sales. Also, we're about to start the holiday shopping season. So, I'm sure you'll find some sales very soon!
Thanks!!!! I hope so...!!!
Hi! I’ve just opened my shop, but I don’t know how to improve it. Should I add more products? How to improve tags and title to appear in research? Also, what are your advices on products pictures? I have no idea how I should take pictures of my products to make them look good. I know there is a lot of sticker shop so I don’t know how to stand out from the others.
Here’s a link to my shop: https://www.etsy.com/fr/shop/JirafeRoarShop?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=886629570
Thanks a lot for your answers!
coucou Julia, it is true that it’ s a very very a hard work to be referenced at the etsy search. Evidently you must post regularly, one ad per day, at least.
The tag is very important. Look the other sellers like you to have ideas. post more pictures, try to put your objects in a real-life situations, new decor for each one ....
Despite your "young" shop your already made one sale, bravo !
don't be discouraged, vous allez y arrivez j’en suis sûr
Now it’s me who need some help.
How to propose in one ad, several different choices ? I tried without results,I became crazy !!
merci d’avance
Hello
I'm a very new to Etsy and am wondering if anyone has as suggestions to help bring in sales and if anyone can give me some feedback on my handmade mirrors
Do you also use any other websites to sell your products on?
Thank you!
@JPCMirrors WELCOME TO ETSY and the ART Team!
The best thing you could do right now is just keep making and adding mirrors to your shop. The holiday season is here. So, you need as much as possible to sell. More items = more traffic = more sales.
Also, participating in social media games on the ART Team really helps. You'll meet lots of shopkeepers and customers. And build a following that is already interesting is purchasing from Etsy.
I do sell on other places. But, they are very specific to art. I suggest experimenting with others as well. Maybe somewhere that specializes in interior design.
HAPPY SALES!

Your shop looks great. I think it's going to take time for people to find you. It takes a while to get established. I think you are doing great.
Hey guys! I signed up to eRank and its said that i need to change my titles and some of my tags so there isn't single words and the titles have short sentences that are clear would anyone be able to give me some guidance on how to go about this please?
https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ANGELDESIGNSTUDIOco
Thank you!!
I've been on Etsy for awhile now but it seems people are not able to find my shop anymore. When friends ask where to find me I usually have to send them a link. Any suggestions?
@ANGELDESIGNSTUDIOco hmm... your titles seem to look good to me. Did eRank give an example of good practices?
And we can't see your tags. can you share an example of the tags you've used for a piece?
Hi Guys,
This is Eva, i opened my first Etsy Shop 10 days back. Read and followed the guidelines of tags/Titles, shop info, i have also started posting more stuff. But, unfortunately i haven't been able to get any audience and none from Etsy search. got views only from people with whom i shared details and recently from Etsy community (i discovered about the community yesterday, thank god for that !)
After reading a lot of posts here, i do understand it would take time for Sales, but not getting any audience (like none) is pretty discouraging.
I don't understand where am i going wrong and what is going on !!!. :'(
Any help is appreciated !

Many Thanks,
Eva
Hey Eva!
I do a bit of acrylics, and I love your shop and the paintings there!
My suggestion (again, a n00b suggestion here) would be to run some Etsy and Insta ads to get traffic. Once you have a following it becomes easier.
Hope it helps!
Cheers, Amby
It can be frustrating starting a new Esty shop for the reasons you just mentioned. I have a couple suggestions:
1) Do you use Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, etc? If so, share your works and allow it to bring people to your shop.
2) Just keep making new pieces. More pieces = more traffic = more sales
THANKS AGAIN and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Mike
Thank you Mike for getting back. As of now, i am not active on the social sites you mentioned, but that's a good suggestion, i would have to set up accounts right away. Thanks a lot for helping out.
Happy Holidays! Have a great one!
Eva
@EvasBayArt Hope it helps. And you don't have to start all the social media at once. It can be overwhelming. Try Facebook or other first. Get it set up. Figure it out. Once you're comfortable, add another one.
I am sure it would. I have already set up my Pinterest and on to it ! *-* Lets hope for the best buddy! And thanks a lot for all your support! Am glad you created this thread for newbies like me, cz atleast theres someplce where we can get genuine guidance.
@EvasBayArt Glad we can help. The more success you have on Etsy; the better we all do.
And it's not just for Newbies. Etsy is constantly changing. So, we all have to learn new tricks.
Ηello everyone.
I am Natasha from Retrojunkee shop in Etsy. Ι reopened my shop a few months ago.
Till now have made only 2 sales. Any help suggestion? My shop link is
https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Retrojunkee?ref=search_shop_redirect&page=3#items
I believe I have put a lot of key words and searched a lot for them.
Hi everyone! Well, I can see that I am not alone and that it is not so easy to sell on Etsy... I mean I feel like I actually have to do a lot of promotion work outside of the website (for instance on instagram but also in real life) to get more visits. I actually just had one sale from a person I met in real life... Tried the adds, but once again, it does not bring so many views and ends up being quite expensive. Anyway there is a lot of work to do and I'm glad we can help each other!
If you want to have a look at my shop (it's paintings / artworks I do) please do! : https://www.etsy.com/fr/shop/LaMacchiaArt
And if you have any advice or suggestions.. by the way, if anywone can tell me if my page appears in English + French? Because I tried to put both.. Thanks you!
Best,
Elise
HellowIm from Sri lanka and I started my shop on etsy as many of the retailers took my photographs and posted as theor own creations.
I found its best to have my own shop on etsy. As all creation done by me and workforce around me. Its a grat priviledge for people with less market exposure to expose into market directly.
But I made only two sales for now. Im confident on the quantities and quality.
What Im lacking is the promotional part
