Is there a special way you all list your paintings to increase views and sales?

Just curious how others do it?
Thanks

I am interested in this question too? I have a new series of ten small
prints that I am going to list soon and I am trying to decide if I should
list them all the same day or one a day or every other day etc. Any
suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you:)

I think that now that they have changed search to Relevancy it doesn't matter when you post....it matters what words you use in your titles. I put lots of words in my titles, like this one....Pittsburgh Cityscape Art Print, Digital Photography, Cityscape, Heinz Hall, skyscraper, EBSQ, 12x17. I think you want as many searchable words in the title as you can get. The more specific ones are first. Not sure I am explaining this well, because I only vaguely understand it.

I rewrote all my titles a while back. Not sure if it is helping or not...I have had no sales...:(

Thanks Carolyn, I'm not sure I asked my question correctly? As far as being
visiable and catching the public's eye. I agree wording is important ! I am
getting ready to post a ten piece series of the same subject should I post them one day at a time or all of them the same day together or add
one every other day etc.? I'm thinking all at the same time but I'm not sure
how to do that so someone elses item doesn't sneak inbetween my group?
Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Re: Is there a special way you all list your paintings to increase views and sales?

Sally, I'm pretty new at this so maybe someone else can give you better advice, but I have been writing my listings and then saving them as drafts. If I then want to list several at once, I go to the drafts page and then mark all the ones I want to publish at that time and they get published at once. However I have usually been spreading my listings out - it seems like I get more views on days that I list a new piece, so after I have photographed several peices I write them up and save them as drafts, then publish one a day. But since I have only had one sale so far, I can't claim my track record proves whether that is the best method! Any one else want to explain how they do it and why?

Great idea Kathy! Thanks so much I will try that. I understand about spreading them out and I also do that but because I have a series of ten
on the same subject and will continue to add to that series continueously
I want to come out big and then keep addi

Sally,
I would suggest do not list them all at once. List them at different times, because this way you will get more views. I listed a new painting a few days ago and that helped me get more views than I usually get. I had another painting to list but I waited a day and then posted it. I am also having a hard time with getting people to notice my artwork and shop. I am not sure if I am doing my titles and tags correctly because I do not get that many views and I do not know what I am doing wrong.

Re: Is there a special way you all list your paintings to increase views and sales?

I have both a prints and photo cards shop as well as a newly opened shop just for my original artwork. I've noticed that it's much much harder getting hits, views, sales on my artwork. I think that's because there is so much original artwork on etsy so it's harder to get noticed. Where as with my personalized prints and photo cards - they fill more of a need or purpose. I think that with the current economy it's just going to be a lot harder to sell original art but with both shops I have noticed re-listing, re-listing, re-listing always helps to get at least more views. I've also been struggling to find the right words descriptive enough to put in my titles. It helps to search for similar items to what's in your shop and see how the popular listings did their titles and keywords. Good luck everyone!

Sally,

Personally I feel posting them separate is the best way, then you keep your shop active and others can view the current one but also include your shop website in the comments, so others can get to your shop easily.
Hope that helps..... hope it goes well for you,
