HELP IMPROVE THE ART TEAM!

Allegedly, Etsy gives "more weight to real, organic placed Faves from a searching buyer, as opposed to click click click faves from fellow team members/sellers." This is to prevent skewing relevancy rating that could come from hundreds of favourites. Even if most of us sellers are also buyers.

So, what can we do to help each other boost sales if viewing, faving, and other games don't help anymore? Please post your suggestions here and we'll try them out. THANKS!!!

Sylvia...there are ways to check even the views now. And absolutely for likes. Most captains know of these...well, for those teams that are strictly monitored.

Sylvia and Kristan, I would love to know how to see the view and hearts of every member of the team to prevent cheating. It's been a problem I've discussed endlessly with other Captain's and Leaders.

The only way we know how to check currently is to look at public hearts, which can be a daunting task if the shop is actively participating in games. And when we receive 100+ accusations (many, many are false) per day, it can be time consuming. Especially since Etsy provides no management tools and view/heart stats information can be delayed up to 24 hours.

So, we'd appreciate any information you have about how to prevent and stop cheating.

Jo, It depends on which game you play. One is pin 5. One is all. And there's a bunch of other new one's as well. HAVE FUN!

Pinterest can be just as slow at showing who has pinned. I play a similar game through fb and it can take days to show. This is played with people I have been networking with for over two years so have no doubt they are playing fairly.

Etsy staff study what happens in the commands and they will take into account in their algorithm all that we here think up.

some suggestions:

add shop name to links in social media posts such as Pinterest where you can edit your link immediately, this way the viewer doesn't see "you may also like" items

incognito views LEAVING ITEMS OPEN AT LEAST 1 MINUTE, games that include clicking on back links in our item descriptions incognito, games in incognito from sections or search within shop sections

More like a shopper in the incognito games

Pamela, could you give me an example of the link for Pinterest. Just so I make sure I update the thread appropriately.

Also, I've updated the Incognito threads (temporarily). With the new Etsy stats, I know a lot has changed. And when I looked up how long someone has to be on you page for it to count now, the range was 15 seconds - 5 minutes. So, if anyone knows the answer, please let me know. Otherwise, I'm going to run a few tests to see what the limit is.

As for the website for checking up on players, let me know if you find it. There use to be a good one about a year ago. It used Etsy Stats in real time. Something happened where they started getting blocked or something. Then the New Etsy Stats completely made it useless. So, if you know of a new way to check, let me know. THANKS!

I like Vita's idea to do some FB games similar to the new Pinterest ones, also what about Instagram as well?

I find that even though Etsy can easily track what are etsy seller clicks, I do not think outside search engines bother with it. I get most of my traffic from google anyway and my SEO is pretty good. I know it can be a combination of things but I believe this helps.
