Anyone had experience licensing your artwork?

Would be so interested how you go about it. Do you copyright first? Do you sign an agreement and if so - did you write it?

Any experience would be great to hear!!

Re: Anyone had experience licensing your artwork?

I've been wondering this myself, I do know that its best you copyright your art first and that companies do prefer this and some may require it.

Not a lawyer so this is not a legal opinion

You must copyright and register first

Copyright is automatic when you first publish or display (free)

Registration requires a minimal fee and a copy of the work

Details available at....

Re: Anyone had experience licensing your artwork?

Did my first copyright last night. What was supposed to take 5 min took me an hour. But I didn't want to make a mistake so I just kept going over it. Next time ...5 min!!
