ACEOs...do they sell well?

Hi
Can anyone tell me if ACEOs sell well here on Etsy?

Re: ACEOs...do they sell well?

They're artists trading cards, but to sell instead of to trade.

Re: ACEOs...do they sell well?

Hi Teresa, in short they do....there are quite a few artists that are selling them here on Etsy. Shara, and ACEO (Art Cards Editions and Originals) and ATC (Artist Trading Cards) are basically miniature art. There is only one rule, it HAS to be 2.5" by 3.5", other then that the sky is your limit. They are lots of fun to make and are very collectable.

If you do a search you find many differing prices and variety, all very cool, Hope this helped :)

Re: ACEOs...do they sell well?

I'm a new seller and opted to go with ACEOs. I find them fun and amazingly quick on the turn around, production-speaking of course. I've been in a few swaps, very recently and just love it.

However, it seems this is not a new thing, and it's difficult to get sales (I'm thinking it's due to the fact I have no track record yet). Any suggestions to help get the ball rolling, so to speak?

Re: ACEOs...do they sell well?

I've been wondering about these too, so I'm interested in hearing what those of you who offer them have to say.

Re: ACEOs...do they sell well?

Back in the early 70's artist's were creating and trading little cards- then they were not so much sold as traded with each other. There are online blogs that are crazy with these pieces. A great way to own a little piece of artwork by someone you like at an affordable price. The higher priced ones seem to be lino cuts, mono prints that sort of thing. Size is not important on the price, more the quality, originality and the weight the artists name carries. Hope this helps. I was in college late 70's so into everything art.

Re: ACEOs...do they sell well?

I haven't actually sold any on ETSY yet but it does depend on what people think ACEOs are. But I have sold 5 sets of my limited edition hand drawn ACEOs at craft fairs before, hence why I thought I would put them up here to try them on here. - The best way I think is to get different sets up instead of mine right now is just the one set, then because of the variety, just like with prints, canvases etc, people have more choice so they look longer at them to buy them.

Re: ACEOs...do they sell well?

I don't really price my original ACEOs particularly low so they don't tend to sell. However I've found ACEO prints can sell very well :)

Re: ACEOs...do they sell well?

I sell cards and paintings more than the ACEOs. For some reason I cannot get them sold...only one sale so far and I have nearly 20 being offered. I also invested in some mats so that collectors can frame and show them off..no buys on that either. Would love some tips to get them moving.

I offer originals, why in the world people would prefer to buy them as prints!!

Re: ACEOs...do they sell well?

I have sold a few. Mine are fabric rather than the regular paper based ones. Can't say they are big sellers or maybe I haven't found the right venue for them.

Re: ACEOs...do they sell well?

I just started making ACEO/ATC cards for buyers who would like to collect but can't always afford the cost that comes with it. Besides I love all things tiny ; )))! I'm not going to start trading and collecting with others ; )

Re: ACEOs...do they sell well?

the best way to find out if something sells on Etsy is to try it. What I would really like to sell doesn't work that well because most probably of the price. I started creating ACEOs not so long ago as a complementary offering on my shop. ON Etsy the ACEO market is not as saturated as jewelry, so I think we have some opportunities here
