Hello again:

Please forgive the 2 messages. I forgot to mention one additional thing in my last message. After the last update, I tried downloading 300 items (thank you for this capability by the way) and it is downloading the entire shop. The box is unchecked to download all listings. I thought you should know.

Hi there again:

Since the last download I keep getting a lot of error messages. I keep getting the 'unhandled exception value with different types of errors like 'completed' in table autofunctions is DB Null. I've allso been getting different ones. I can't even relist right now with the program. Please help.

I'm sorry this is happening. I'm not quite sure why your seeing these errors either. I'm investigating now. I do plan to release a new version today (Apr 22) which should have some of the features you were looking for. As part of that I also have (hopefully) a better method of tracking errors. Just for your own information you should be able to always roll back to the previous version easily when this occurs. Just go to control panel.

I'm not sure I found the error you were getting, but I had already completed a lot of changes. I've downloaded and tested everything I could think of and it all seems OK. This version has considerably more debugging tools built in it which should help in finding any additional errors. It should update itself and we'll see. Let me know what you find. I'll post in a couple of days all of the changes but the relisting que can now be saved and reloaded as part of the database operations.

A minor tweak released today. The 2.4.23 version has the following updates:

1) Autorenew que can now be saved and retrieved as part of the regular database operations. This means you create a que and save it without losing information
2) Sorting the renewal que and then filling in the renew times is now possible, A processID tag was also added which allows a user defined order to be tracked.
3) Program now prevents multiple rows of the same listing in the renew que which could be added by accident.
4) The shop listings form now allows output to excel and csv format. This is the first pass of this feature - more to come.
5) See the other post about Bugs! This version allows much better and easier ways of tracking bugs that you may encounter. Please help us out by picking one of the 2 ways to pass this information to us. You can turn on the autosend errors in the Program Options menu.

Please forgive the delayed response. The landlord of our home wants to sell his house so we've been running around trying to find something. It has really been distracting and stressing me. I did roll the version back to an older version in the meantime because I was having so many problems. I hope to give the new version a try soon. I will give you feedback just as soon as I give it a try. I read your messages but haven't really absorbed it all because of the chaos that is my life right now but I really appreciate the new updates and will certainly come back to read everything you wrote so I can better understand it. Hi there Chris:

I ran the newest update and after I had run the program once and cleared it for the following day (program was not restarted), and scheduled another re-list session, I got an error message this morning. What happens is that when you clear the queue and then reschedule another relist session, it leaves the completed column checkbox a shaded blue. I think it gave a message like 'value of completed column is DB Null'. Or something like that. I'm sure it will work if I restarted it but it will not work if you clear the old schedule and start a new one. I think that because that check box is shaded blue, that may be causing the problem.

I'll take a look at it and see it I can guess at the problem. What would be really helpful is if you could do one of the error methods. I've posted what to do in the team under Bugs. This gives me access to all kinds of specifics errors. Either method should work.

I believe I have found this bug and dispatched it with version 2.4.30 that I just uploaded. The number of items on the renew (autofunctions) table is also now tracked. Thanks for reporting this bug.

The program was just updated to 2.05.03 to dispatch a particularly nasty bug which occurred on new installs. The latest updates allow one to cancel a download in progress. If you do NOT have this feature goto Tools : Program options and make sure the "async operations allowed" is checked.

I uploaded a new version late yesterday only to run into an Etsy API issue which we're trying to resolve. Right now everything appears OK. Updated shipping batch editing was the focus of the latest program update. It now list "everywhere else" and a listing image is displayed along with some minor UI improvements.

Version 2.05.08 is now available. The last 3 days has seen some issues related to limits that Etsy puts on all programs. Evidently there has been increasing use of the program which caused this.

(1) Some things to lessen the impact of exceeding the public listing calls so the occurrence of (2) is less..
(2) It adds a specific error message to tell the user that exceeding Etsy's limit has occurred and to try later.
(3) Handles errors if shop information is missing.

The program will automatically update itself upon the second program opening.

Hello there Chris:

I hope you are well. My move is finally over and I think I lost about 5 years of my life. I am so relieved and hope that I will not have to move for a very long time.

Anyway, I wanted to ask you a question. I had to uninstall Zetsy completely from my computer because I was having major problems with my computer and it seemed to coincide with the last update and so I figured that I would try uninstalling the program just in case it was causing some problems. When I reinstalled Zetsy and tried downloading a set quantity of products to use the re-list function, it seems that it will only download 100 products at a time. So, if I enter 400, it will only download 100. I am concerned now that because since I uninstalled and reinstalled the program that it has now reverted to a very old version with the issues that we had worked through. My guess is that is probably not the case but I am nervous about using it because I don't want to go through the issues that we had discussed in the past and worked through with new updates. Please let me know.

Glad you got through the move. We've lived in the same place for 15 years and we're suffering from terminal clutter. Spending lots of time to clean the house as if we were listing it for sale. We're not, but it tells us what we sort need tp do.

I checked tonight and it downloaded more than 100 listings for me. Look at the splash screen (Zetsy) when it comes up. Does is say version 2.5.28 ( which is for May 28, 2012 if you wondered). If it is try it again. If not for some reason your not updating the program/ Let me know.

That would be the only benefit to moving so much is that it does help you de-clutter. Though I would love to live in the same place for 15 years. It seems that I move like every 2-3 years and I may have to move yet again in about a year. When we moved 3 years ago, I did get rid of a lot of things and once again we accumulated more stuff. I have vowed that within that year, I am going to get rid of a ton of things to make the move easier. We aren't pack rats but I would just like to own less stuff. As the saying goes, "you don't own your stuff, your stuff owns you" could not be more true. That's great that you guys are in the process of de-cluttering. If you do have to move, you will be glad you did.

The version I have says 2.5.28.1. I downloaded the listings again tonight and selected 300 and it only download 100 for me. It was something you had fixed at one point but since I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, it has been having this problem.

I have not been able to replicate the issue. There is a new version just uploaded which has many behind the scene changes and much of the code has been updated to be more robust. It may ask to download additional files depending upon your system. It should also ask the first time to "register" the program. The biggest change is if errors happen they can be uploaded. This will not probably help with your current problem but my goal is to focus on improving the robustness of the program. If it still getting stuck at 100 let me know; this should not be happening.

Sorry this has taken so long; I wa stumped. Everything ran fine here and couldn't figure out how to debug a problem I couldn't reproduce.
The fix is easy. Somehow your program is not in Async mode. Go to the Tools menu and bring-up program options. Look near the bottom of the from and you will see Async operations allowed. This should be check marked. Click the box and close the program. Run the program again and make sure this box is checked.
With the async mode on you will see that the downloads can be cancelled at anytime. Older versions of the program didn't allow this. I'm not sure why downloading didn't change this default but I'll look into this. I reproduced this problem here so I'm pretty sure this will fix it.
