i am running a sale this week to jump start the repair fund - 100% goes to our ashram and its programs to support the welfare of our local and very poor rural indian community.
my Guru passed away recently, i inherited the job of managing & fundraising for his indian ashram & amazing Interfaith, Vedantic, esoteric & occult library. its at a small sanctuary on a holy river in a 600 yr old fort in need of many repairs while we do our fundraising for scholars programs.
today i went to give an intake application for scholarship at a home with 3 teenagers. the father is in last stage cancer the mother is working odd jobs and also not in good health. the 3 kids are bright and beautiful! they all live in a simple 2 room house with no bathroom or plumbing. there are 9 regular students we serve at our ashram with free yoga and english homework help. but i am not a school or teacher, i am the amma, manager and interfaith minister here. i am raising money for them to go to english and computer programs after school.
