Summer Time Goals and Inspiration

I don't know about the rest of you ladies, but the warm weather always brings me new ideas, hope, and creativity. It is my favorite time of the year! One goal that I have is a vision for this group. We are not only women of color, but creative women with some of the same goals and desires that have brought us thus far along our journey. I would like to connect on a more creative and supportive level with each of you, and I want to encourage the same amongst each other.

So the questions ladies are, what inspires you? how do you decide what you make? how do you combat fears of failure? and if you have any personal goals with your art?

As for me, I get a lot of inspiration for nature. I usually sit out on my patio and listen to easy going music. Most of the time, I don't know what I am going to paint until I start painting. I use that as a way to practice following my heart and staying open to new possibilities. I want to create art with a mood and voice. Maybe then, my art will speak to others=)
