Finally had a light bulb come on of "Hey let me see if I can find a local support group" this morning and hey here you are! I mainly was thinking about it because I am having a hard time figuring out how to get a sale tax license thing. Luckily I have had no Wisconsin sales yet, but I really want to do a craft show this fall/winter. It just sounds like fun!

I'm new here, too. I'd also like to sell at craft shows eventually, but I need to build up a lot more inventory before I do that!

It's easy to register your business to sell in Wisconsin. Go to www.revenue.wi.gov and click on the Business tab. Everything you need is in the middle of the screen. They have short how-to videos you might want to look at.

Is it neccessary to register a business if you are selling at craft fairs? I always thought they could go by your social security number?

Don't you need a seller's permit to sell at craft fairs? If so, that's the way to do it. I'm not an expert, though.
