I agree with Mary Davis,....the Sterling Silver Filled wire is awesome.
There is better quality silver plated Artistic wire out there though as well. When I first started out I was practicing on wire that I bought from "Michaels"....but that wire is very poor quality German wire that is coated,..but the coating peels off VERY easy. Then I started to purchase Artistic wire from a store that is about 30 miles from me called "Bead Quest"....they do have an online store as well. Anyway,...their brand of Artistic wire is great to use,...and the coating does NOT come off and is very easy to work with, and very reasonably priced as well. The only down fall is that when you use the thicker gauge wire,...18 or 20,...for like jump rings ..etc....if not cut just right,...the copper on the inside is noticeable.
