How to Handle Items Out on Consignment

I just received my first offer to send out some of my items on consignment. I don't have much inventory, so the shop told me I could keep items in my Etsy store as well. They said I could just give them a call if anything sells online and they'll remove it from their retail shelves for me to pick up at any time.

I'm wondering if anyone else does this: keep products out on consignment still in their Etsy store? There's a small risk that an item could sell in both places at the same time. With my current sales record online, this risk is low, but I don't know if I'm comfortable with taking that chance.

Any advice?

nope, i would never take the risk. i would just make more or wait till i had enough to put on consignment or take it off etsy

I did do that once. It drove me crazy.

I actually did it last week-- by accident! what a pain.. I had to make time out of my day to run over to the shop--about 25 miles away... and get the item! ( and if I had had more of that same fabric- I would have just made another-- but No I didn't have it!).
So.. No I would not recommend it..Have different items in your shops and in your Etsy shop.
