Although I create soft sculpture plushes based on old school NES video games, my first system was a Sega Genesis. *le sigh* So I've gotta say that Sonic 2 and Aladdin still kind of make me weak in the knees. I played the crap outta those games - switching out with my sister when our Sega-Thumb was unbearable and we have to get to the next level.

These days, though, I'm a Harmonix chick, all the way.

I remeber having an Atari, I can't remember playing it though. Nintendo was my first system of course Mario Brothers was my first game.
I love the Final Fantasy games, I am playing 13 right now, I'm torn between working on new items and putting gaming hours in.

I played an NES for the first time when I was four. The game Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt was the first. I must say though my favorite game for nintendo growing up was Barbie. I know that is girly, but she goes into a dreamworld where animals help her out and she becomes a mermaid, a 50s girl, even has crazy adventures in pizza stores at the mall. The music was magical and there was more pink than you would believe.

my first system was a commodore 64, unfortunately i can hardly remember what i played on it. there was one game where one had to fight skeletons on a graveyard...cannot remember the name of it.

today i'm still into the old stuff, my brother and i just digged out the super-nintendo, sold some ps2 games and re-invested the money in buying tetris attack.
does anyone know this one? it has nothing to do with the original tetris (except being a puzzle game, too), and it's highly addictive in vs. mode ;)

I grew up watching my brother play NES. I remember the dog in Duck Hunt terrified me. The first game I really played on my own was probably Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo NES - I still have one from when i was a kid! I still play it :) Fave Game is Super Mario Bros 3, and Duck Hunt. Also love Wizards and Warriors 3, what an amazing game. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

If you are looking for a Nintendo NES console, they sell re-conditioned consoles on Ebay, for fairly reasonable prices, and you can find almost any game as well. Go on- you know you want to :)

I didn't having a gaming console until I got my SNES second hand when the N64 came out. But I was really into computer games with my dad.

I had the Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy and Ghostbusters.
I remember wanting to play Ghostbusters and having to wait 2 hours for it to load and having to turn the tape over to finish loading

My very first games were a pair of Sesame Street Edutainment games. *laughs* But I remember the first time I played Tetris (age 5 or so) and I thought I was the coolest kid because I was playing a "Grown-up game."

But my best childhood gaming memory was being about 10 and beating Final Fantasy IV (then Final Fantasy II on the SNES) all by myself. Still one of my favorite games.

Sesame Street Edutainment games, too! Or the Dr Seuss games. Or Cluefinders, Reader Rabbit...oh the nostalgia. The first serious game I can remember playing was probably the second Harry Potter game, on Gamecube? I saved up for ages to buy me and my brothers a Gamecube, I was so excited.

My mom got us the original NES, so Mario Brothers was my very first. My favorites were Bubble Bobble, Tetris and Zelda II: The Adventures of Link as our game collection grew :D

My first video game I played was Pacman on the atari I am only 25 but I had an older brother so got into gaming very young. But my favourite childhood game was Final Fantasy VIII I know for most people it's VII, which I still also love but VIII was the first game in the series I properly played all the way through and I just loved everything about it and so the obsession with Final Fantasy started....

Yep, the original Atari. It was a little before my time but we played my dad's system. Defender was my favorite game!

We got an NES in the mid-80's, so naturally my first game was Duck Hunt/Super Mario Bros.

Dendy, russian ripoff from nes. It was so plastic. And it died after you sneezed at it. the cartridges contaned "999999999" (as many 9 as you want them to) games, but in the reality they were 5 or 6, but they were listed again and again and again...

Super Mario and Duck Hunt are the first games I played. However, my favorites were Mike Tyson Punchout and Contra-which my son plays on his Nintendo DS now. Yes, we take turns playing and no he has no choice!
