Ritual or Religious objects

Hello fellow etys peers,

I am interested in learning about ritual objects or scared items used in various religions or spiritual practices. Things like prayer beads or rosaries, or meditation cushions or benches; any kinds of items that you associate with your faith tradition. I was hoping some of you could share with me what kinds of objects one would see in your religious practice.

Well I am not sure if this is what you mean but we were given a unique house warming gift from my mother in law. We are not Jewish however she gave us a pewter Mezuzah which is a Jewish religious vessel. It is a highly decorated vessel quite small to be put in doorways. She had told us it was to bless all who cross that threshold. I think she also said in a Jewish household they may have these throughout. I think it is to hold a verse or prayer. She told us to kiss it or give it a touch every now and then too. I will have to Google to remind myself...
