Welcome to our CHAT thread where you can introduce yourself, ask a question, tell a joke, say what you're up to or what you're having for dinner! A place to meet one another. A place to procrastinate and get away from it all for a few minutes. Feel free to post something you like in another team member's shop. If you want to ask a question about something in your shop you may post a link to the item.

What you can't do on this thread is self-promote : ) All random self-promotions will be deleted. Since the leaders of the team can't be present 24/7 we ask members to let us know of any self-promotions by Page # so we can delete the post and keep the chat flowing. If your post is deleted please don't take offense. There is a separate thread for self-promotions where you can show us your new listings, relists, etc. and we look forward to seeing them!

If you are new to the team, there's no need to read pages and pages of posts. Just jump in! Our posters are friendly and helpful!

Please keep your posts clean, positive and family friendly.

Please no calling out on Etsy, administration or other members.

Please keep any harsh differences of opinion in convos and not on the thread.

Poking my head in. I try to stop in and look around on the threads to see what's what. I have deleted the self promoters many times and taken them off the team but our team has an open door policy, you post and you're in so it's kinda hard keeping them from joining again. My family and I recently purchased and moved full time to 20 acres off grid. (In Oct) ... I am heating up water on the stove for the kid's baths right now.
We had some set backs since moving, but we are slowly getting settled in and making improvements :)
Very thankful for all my blessings today and always.

Heating up water on the wood burning stove, I should say... it is our only heat source and our main means for cooking currently :)

Hi Joanne and Carol and everyone, hope you all have a great day!

Joanne, I can not bake at the moment, which was a bit of a bummer around the holidays.. we have a wood burning stove top to cook on and an old fashioned wood fired oven and cook stove that is not in working order. It was here when we moved in but it is missing critical parts.

We did get to cut our own Christmas tree from our property though. It turned out to be 12 feet tall. Lol, we had to cut it to 7 and a half feet, to fit it in the house. :) The kids and us enjoyed it a lot.

Carol, before and after is so great. Seeing all the hard work pay off! We had some set backs, so progress has been good but slow. We will get more done after tax return time :)

Right now it's all about keeping the firewood and food pantry stocked up :)
