Hi, I love all kinds of music. Jazz, R&R, R&B, Classical, Country, you name it, I love it!
Now for my problem. My daughter and her husband purchased a home several years ago and the previous owners left approximately 200 - 250 45's, 33 1/2" and 78's records in the basement. Other than a little on the dirty side and having a very musty smell they are in remarkable condition for their age. After going through and sorting them I found that I would like to be the one to purchase them and have no idea how much to offer her for them.
The previous owner's one and only son became a priest and these were all his. They were, for the most part, very well taken care of except for the storing in the basement which I'm sure was done when he went away to become a priest. They are from the 1940s and 50s. The only one I seen that might be worth a little more than the others is an Elvis Presley. The others are mostly big band with a sprinkling country and some polka. The only rock and roll I seen other than the Elvis Presley was one by Paul Anka Do you think $200.00 would be alright to offer her for them? I know she will tell me that I can just have them but I don't want to do that.
