Smelly and Bug sewing patterns question

i was given some very old fantastic sewing patterns that i would love to keep. But they have an old smell from being stored for many years. As well as silver fish has been eating the covers of the patterns. The patterns are in perfect condition other wise. Does anyone know how to get that smell out? An rid of the silverfish.

Silver fishes don´t like the smell of lavender and lemons! That may be a hint, the smell could disappear if you expose the pattern to fresh air on a sunny day.

But I have to admit that I like this semll of old books and old magazines - for my it´s the perfume of decades from the past. But that´s a really personal thing ;-)
