NR~I think that is a good idea. Sometimes I think you can gain repeat customers by a shop that carries one type of item; i.e., just books or just clothes, etc. Sometimes, but not always. You really have to create a shop concept and build on that. I have so many items to list now that I feel I will need at least two shops. I also hope to have an all holiday shop up and running by October. However, I have noticed that some vintage sellers do well by having one shop of 300 plus items. The more items they offer, the more internet traffic they get. Here is an example:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/ricracandbuttons?ref=pr_shop&view_type=galleryThis shop currently has 3,674 items for sale and 557 of those items are children's books. They offer a variety of things and seem to have sales nearly everyday, so sometimes I wonder if I should likewise just have one shop, listing all of my items in one place. However, if I want to play with concepts for specific types of items, I feel I need more than one shop. The shop above has done an excellent job at creating a concept that works for their wide variety of merchandise.
