How to Find The Value Of An Antique Book

I have a whole collection of Coal Mining and Land assessment Book from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. Where can I go to find the value of the books?

I think used.addall.com is a good place to start. Bookfinder.com is also helpful. These sites will let you get a sense of what others are asking for the books, anyway.

I've a book here from 1949 and I can't see it anywhere on those sites and the internet doesn't seem to have heard of it either....it's like man just made one copy as a joke or something...., but if the booksnot careful I might threaten it with scissors and say I'll cut it up if it doesn't be more helpful

it's called 'Beyond the Narrow Seas' by C.Midgley....

its a geography book from 1949 (part of a series) and talks about different countries in Europe after World War II .......this is a picture from it here....http://theweeshed.blogspot.com/

I love old geography books so I might keep it....unless of course somebody wants it in the world for a good price to fund some summer holiday fun....and a new car etc.

Weeshed, I found two libraries that have a copy. It's listed as a book for juveniles:

I find it interesting that book 3 is much easier to find than book 6. Have more survived or are people just holding on to their book 6 for some reason?

Here are World Catalog entries for Cyril Midgley (keep in mind, although this is one of the largest book data bases in the world it only inlcudes libaries that have been actually creating original catalog entries (such as Cornell and Harvard and Yale, etc.) and those libraries who subscribe and provide data. I picked up a first edition book at an estate sale called
OTTO AT SEA. I know what it is worth just having a hard time selling it on EBAY need to find a better place to sell old books. As well as I have a whole suitcase full of book from early 1900's to late 1800's on coal mining and a bunch of other text books. not sure where to sell these.
