That if you are doing Treasuries... be aware-- if you go to the team members page-- the acutal team members are there and you can open their shops and choose items from them.

BUT if you go to Handmade or Vintage and put in on search- Vintage Books Team... you will come up with people/shops not on the team.

Just a thought.

Maybe- I guess- Try it.. Other people not on the team are putting Vintage Books and Vintage book team into their tags. People who are not part of the team.
When I did my treasury I went into members and pulled from their sales.

Just a note though: non-members are not using the exact tag Vintage Book Team. If they were, we could not retrieve a perfect list of just our members’ items by clicking on the tag. And as it is now, we can.

They are using combinations. Real examples include the following:
vintage > book> 333team
vintage> book> team trade on
vintage> book> etteam

I went in and searched Etsy’s Main Search page using these search terms: Vintage Book Team to see what was happening. The search engine is pulling combinations of the search term/s.

We can create treasuries by clicking on our tag attached to any of our items.
However, not all members are using the tag yet, so right now the only way to locate items from all of our team members is to enter their shops using the members’ shops found on our forum details.

whatever- It seems too complicated for me right now. I will probably still do the same- just check everyone's shop anyway.

If you would like, I could start checking our members' shops regularly to see who is tagging their items and post a list of all shops using our tag. This way we will know which shops we can go into to find our tag and start building our treasuries from there. Just an idea. In fact, when I made this list below, I had to go into these shops for the urls and I found an item I want to feature in a treasury idea I have.

Hi all! Possibly a stupid question, but when you say tagging, do you mean just adding "Vintage Book Team" in the keywords thingy? I'm a tad clueless about these things!

Yes that is it exactly in your tag if you add Vintage Book Tag as one of your words your shop will come up when a search is done for team members.

SmallWorld - What I would say when creating treasuries it might be worthwhile including some people that are not members of the team in order to get more outside traffic to our shops and also this could increase our membership, just an idea. Mind you I have no right to comment as I don't have a clue when it comes to creating a treasury...

Yes. VWNN--I agree. For my latest treasury, I could only find one item from our team to fit into my theme; however, I found some other great vintage book shops. I also invited them to join, as you can do this directly from our forum (lower left hand panel on our home page). I also invited a couple of shops featured in another treasury of mine. I believe three have joined since the invitations. I am so glad they did. They have wonderful shops and book selections.

VintageWants - that is a very good idea, since navigating/finding teams can be a bit daunting. If somebody is featured in a pertinent Team Treasury they may very well have a Eureka moment! LOL

At first, it was hard to make a treasury with only team members' items, but I really wanted to get everybody going so I started out with team members, only (including non-book items).

I had never made a treasury before, either, but don't be afraid - just jump in. It's a lot of FUN!

I'm new here, but I will make sure to begin to edit my items with this tag and hope a lot of you do also...I love to make treasuries...I find it a joyful thing...and I would love to use many of your items. This seems like a much quicker way to do that.

That's what I've been using.
I'm pretty sure I picked this up from the team tag outline.

Hi Alex, I am afraid that I mislead both of us. A glance at the dates suggests that the thread stopped more than a year ago. Or I may not understand any of this. I am not very good on threads--in fact, terrible.

Yes. That was the old team tag. The new one is VBTEAM. I had to change it because the old one began retrieving items that were not related to our team.

By the way, I just checked and found that we look great when you search for VBTEAM! One will find a wonderful collection of vintage books sold by our team members! Keep up the excellent tagging!
