Feature request to allow more items to be displayed when editing

Hello team,

Wanted to put this out there as a possible feature request. When bulk editing items (not variations) I find it hard to have to make edits, sync then scroll down click to the next page and repeat the process. Would it be possible to have a selector at the top to load 25, 50, 100, all?

This would be a drop down selector to select 1 option. When selected the page would refresh (and would always refresh from this point forward) with the quantity selected.

Another option would be a setting in a settings screen allowing you to set this option. either one could work I think having it available on the editing page is most efficient though.

Re: Feature request to allow more items to be displayed when editing

Hey William -

Apologies for the confusion, but when bulk editing the updates you perform will actually be applied to all the listings you selected on the main listings page, unless you intentionally deselect them.

For example, if you have 500 listings and click "All" on the main listings page followed by the "Edit Listings" button, then all 500 of these listings will be brought into the bulk edit page and selected by default.

In order to control the amount of data that has to be held in the browser and in turn keep things fast, we display 25 listings on screen at a time. However, if you were to for example add a tag, "On Sale", then that tag would be added to all 500 listings (even the ones you cannot directly see). You can scroll and click to see more listings in order to confirm this, but rest assured that upon clicking "Apply" and "Sync Updates" all selected listings will be updated.

Hopefully, this provides a little clarity, but please let me know if you have any questions, or if I can help in any way.

Thanks,
Justin

I'd find what William's asking for really useful too - when you have a larger shop and want to scroll down it can be quite tricksy - for example today I loaded all our listings (in our smaller shop, about 100) and only wanted to change the 3rd image in about half of them (picking and choosing as I went) and it was a bit time consuming and muddly loading the next 50 and then having to scroll back to the top of the page as it seems to load them in an odd way - I had to keep going back and double checking I'd caught them all. Our main shop has over 6,000 listings so it would be quite problematic to use it with that one.

@Primrose - After following what Vela was saying it does make it easier. I knew it updated the listings below but not seeing them is kinda like not believing. After using for a little while I can see why they designed it the way they did.

Use the filters before selecting all to edit. Narrow down the field a bit and it makes it much easier to edit sections of data rather than larger groups more precisely.

Re: Feature request to allow more items to be displayed when editing

Thanks William - the problem is that with editing images - where you need to see the listing to decide if you want to change, say the 3rd image in some - you do need to see the listings so you can choose whether or not to edit them. I think the filtering as you've said will work in our smaller shop, but with our larger one I'm not sure it will be possible to narrow it down to less than say, a 100 at a time, and I've already made a few errors working with that amount (it does seem very clunky scrolling through as you load up more). I'll keep trying and see how I get on!
