That's a great idea, i have a hard time finding people pages through their Etsy sites sometimes. I said before I'm not a boutique but I'm a photographer and I try to look local for props and things before I look elsewhere.

If you can get people to go to your blog on a regular basis, I think they'd be worth the time put into it, but so far mine seems to be collecting a lot of dust. I've never tried twitter, but some people seem to like it. I have a blog and facebook.
