These iitems POP do yours?

I am always drawn to brightly colored and well photographed items. Check these out and then assess your photos.

Hope this is helpful for any of you!!

I agree, Kelli, pics are one of the essentials to get attention for your shop! There are a couple links for suggestions to take better pics in "Our Tool Box"! Some things to get right in your photos:
-White Balance
-Contrast
-Color Temperature
-Composition or Framing

Good example: My shop!! I am getting ready to retake the pics for over half my listings! I finally started taking better product photos recently. Now I have to go in and ditch the ones that look so gray and blue. No matter the background, you still want your product to be the focal point and have true color! So blue should be as bright and beautiful as it is in Kelli's treasury!

I,also have a photography degree, and sometimes I feel like you'd never know it... LOL-

thanks for adding my
'blue' bird feeder!

for what it's worth, lol- I always check my 'highlights' on my editing software- making my photos darker, seem to make them pop out more-

and always always always make sure they are in focus and sharp! I despise looking at a picture, trying to figure out what some of the details are-

That's also a good reminder for sellers to definitely consider the size settings of their photos, the larger setting will produce better clarity when resized to Etsy parameters. A little more work in editing, but the crisp and sharp look is worth it to me. Even if you shoot in the size you want that's fine, but it's important to never resize UP from the original. There are lots of pics that have gray area around them on Etsy, that's because they are not filling the allowed area. Check your specifications of a photo by right clicking on it and selecting "View image info". You will find the dimensions of any photo that way and can then adjust the settings on your camera accordingly.

Love eveything in the blue treasury. Thanks for the friendly tips, everybody! I feel like I have some good photos and a few not so good. The tricky ones for me are the translucent white pieces...practice, practice, right?
