Love this team, glad I found it! Like many others, I take unwanted things and upcycle them into their new lives. In the city so much is thrown away, you would cry if you saw what is put out to the curbside for trash, especially when people (students in particular) are moving out of apartments. So one day I decided to do something about it and yes, I collect from the curb. Anything that is in good condition is donated to charity, the rest I use in crafts. I also go to yard sales, flea markets, thrift shops, etc., and the stuff that people don't want anymore is just amazing.

Hello! My name is Lainey. I've been making vases and such from used bottles. I later stretched out to using old boards and other such things. I've done a few facial scrubs and bath salts, too. I sold them to raise money for a school trip I was going on. After the trip, I still wanted to do the same things. I have continued to do this and I've been please with the results I get when I work without time and money pressure. I seem to come up with ideas better.

I am glad I found a community that does the same things I do and I plan to look for more ways to upcycle.

just found this team! I'm paula and I make mostly functional work from salvaged metal and found junk. I have 3 etsy shops (1 is an industrial flower shop of all junk flowers and the other is a supply/resell to others of 'junk' and scrap yard finds etc).
