Etsy's new Review/Rating system. Thoughts?

I've just received a newsletter from Etsy saying there's a new system to replace the feedback system.. it will be a star rating and review system, much like Amazon.


What are everyone's thoughts on this? Do you think it will affect sales and small shop owners? Or do you think it will have advantages?


Personally I think it's really daunting... Etsy is changing everything which makes it unique, and is slowly growing more like Ebay and Amazon.

yeah... I have a thought and it isnt very popular with the "get over it" crowd upstairs.
I don't like it. I will live with it.
But 4 stars means I won't sell to that person again.
Etsy has taken almost all of the control from the sellers.
I know this is much bigger than me. I know I don't count in the grand scheme of things but I make a very lousy lemming. If it smells...it smells.
