International Shipping

Hey everyone,

I have a quick question about shipping fees. How do you guys not have insanely expensive shipping fees to international destinations?
Is there another easier way than royal mail?
I'm sick of shipping fees being almost the same as the price of my items :(

you could try courier companies ? i find them slightly cheaper and normaly a better service for international items :)

I've spend hours setting up shipping profiles for various weights and sizes and I am wondering the same thing but have yet to find something cheaper than Royal Mail or Parcelforce. For larger parcels you can sometimes find better shipping rates using Interparcel but you really need to know the size and weight of your total package. It can be tricky specially when sending Hampers etc. For small items I think you are stuck with Royal Mail.

Only the customer can make the decision if the postage is too much!
If they really want it and can't buy it locally, they will pay it

Hi All.

I'm new to Etsy and still trying to work it out.
Id like to be able to offer to ship internationally ... but it seems tricky.

I've worked out for one of my items that its a 'small parcel' ... and know the costs for this for Europe, Zone 1 and Zone 2
Do I have to manually go in and enter the price for each country?

And while I do tracked in the UK - it seems really expensive for international. I don't want to put potential buyers off with high postage .. but it makes sense to ask for a signature.
What do you do?

i find post office is cheaper than any too i agree all you can do is offer the best price and if its not acceptable there is little you can do just a bit of a moan wish that Etsy automatically callculated combined shipping i put i do offer discount for combined items but people still ask pointing out the postage is expensive before i can calculate it
