Hi everyone and welcome to the team! This thread is for anyone who wants to introduce themselves properly or who want to just pop in and say a quick hello!
hi, thanks for the invite! I work in stoneware from my workshop at home. I handbuild my work using coiling and slab building and I fire in my 2 electric kilns. I love being a potter and I love seeing all the other fantastic work that so many others make in clay on here, its really inspiring :)
I'm Beverley and make decorative porcelain objects from my studio in Salford, near Manchester. I enjoy being in control of the whole creative process and spend a lot of enjoyable time making, throwing, glazing (less enjoyable!) and firing. Thank you.
Hi all! I'm Marion and live in Lancashire and miss the sun of my native south of France! To cheer me up I make all sorts with all sorts of stuff, but I particularly love stoneware clay and porcelain. I make jewellery and home and garden decorations e.g. cane toppers, trinket/tea bags/nibbles dishes, spoon rests, coasters...
Had to go! Back now...I 'm inspired mostly by nature and use leaves from my garden for some of my work. All of my pieces are unique. I don't have my own workshop (I do work on my dining room table now and again though, to my husband's delight ... NOT!!) I go to a friend's workshop once or twice a week and she fires my work. Hope to have my own workshop and kiln someday... That's me! xx
I'm in North Wales...and I use air drying clay (often with gemstones) to create jewellery and sculpture. I also use the air drying clay to make my originals from for casting.
I'd love to get a kiln when I have the space for one. :)
Hello Emily, Helen, Beverley, Marion, and EarthDeva! It's great to see even more new faces join and thank you for taking the time to introduce yourselves too. It's amazing to see how diverse our team is getting! Everyone uses clay in a different way and it's all equally as beautiful! Thank you!
Hello all, Thankyou for inviting me to join your team. There are some wonderful potters out there. I live near Stockport and have been working for myself for a year now. I make stoneware tableware and little gifts. My workshop is a garden shed and I have a little electric kiln, a kick wheel and an electric wheel. My Dad is trying to teach me to throw but I'm a coiler at heart. I'm really new to Etsy, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon.
hello, and thank you for the invite. I like to experiment with my work, and so i've been trying out various ceramic clays and slips to make jewellery, and I also use metal clays, as well as lots of other materials. I'm a qualified overglaze painter , I buy in white porcelain to paint on,I'd like to slip cast large vases and bowls but I can't find and nice simple contemporary moulds anywhere. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all

Hi, Thanks for inviting me to the group. I live in the north of Cumbria and make work in a white stoneware clay - mostly faces and figures - which I fire in an electric kiln. I have enjoyed selling work through Etsy and it would be good to make contact with other sellers.
hello all I've been meaning to say hello fir a while now and here i am :) I am Chloe and live in South Wales I tend to make smaller items at the moment as i have 2 young children so like to keep things smaller so i do a bit when i find the time :)
Hello Karin, Jill, Sherry, Ruth and Chloe! Thank you all for joining us and welcome to the team. We have just over 60 members so our team is growing nicely thanks to all of you. I hope we have the chance to work together in the future and I look forward to getting to know you all.
Hi, I've been making useful pots for about forty years, I've worked for David Frith near Denbigh in North Wales and Porthmadog Pottery as well as for myself. Now I live in the same village as Chloe from CariadClay, making and firing pots at home and in a workshop near Abergavenny too.
Hi all and thanks for the invite :) I'm Caroline from Warrington. I make ceramic beads & pendants from stoneware, earthenware, raku, porcelain, anything I can put in the kiln! I love experimenting and coming up with new ideas and am currently exploring crystalline glazes. Hoping to get to grips with my pottery wheel this year and produce some functional ware. Looking forward to getting involved!
Hi I'm Kate, I'm from Cardiff (but born in Northumberland, childhood in Antigua)
I make coastal inspired pieces using my own blend of recycled paper and stoneware clay. I love the sea and all things seasidey. I currently only have a small selection of things such as clocks, vases and hanging decorations. Got my own kiln and a studio with no heating or windows! So, using this time to do adminy things, work out etsy stuff and general 'stay indoors' jobs :)
Hi I'm Marieanne from Caterham in Surrey, just outside greater London.
I make earthenware clay in a manually operated gas kiln - I love all the colours of earthenware and the variations of a gas kiln. I love the unpredictability of the gas - which I have turn up manually - running up and down the garden to check it - much to my neighbours amusement!
My work is in a shed down the garden with a wood fired stove which is fantastic for keeping warm and drying stuff out. It is a lovely place to work with birds singing in the trees. I teach a few people and we always take the wheel outside whenever possible!
I am always experimenting and mixing in glass, using different clays and glazes etc. my main love is sculpture - which I will be developing soon. Like Cat and others I'm new to Etsy and to selling my stuff, having done my first craft first a year ago and listed my 1st item on Etsy in December.
This looks like a fabulous team - as it's all uk - all clay - and not too big! Looking forward to working with others in the team! All the best Marieanne
It's a while since I've had a good old rummage around on Etsy - and I'm so chuffed I've found this team :-)
I love working with clay and live in Newbury, UK. I attend a creative clay class every Thursday with a lovely lady whom I'm going to try and get on etsy - I've been raving to her for a long while now about it! :-)
I really like working with stoneware and earthenware clays, I tend to make things for the house, end up mounting clay pieces onto canvas. I'm still a complete beginner - but love the medium and one day would like to do a lot more :-)
I have just recently made some little stoneware birds to go on my tables at my wedding on 8th April - post wedding I intend on having more time for creative things! :-) Wedding theme is rustic country and I pretty much just love anything that is natural, easy on the eye and pretty :-) vintage, afternoon tea, etc, etc.
Welcome to the team Gwynneth, Caroline, Kate, Marieanne, Claire and Victoria! It's wonderful to have you all on board! I hope you'll enjoy participating in team events in the future and have the opportunity to work together as well! I had a look at all your shops and I must say they are all rather brilliant!
I am Laura and l come from Worthing, West Sussex. It's good to meet you all. I make jewellery out of polymer clay. I am relatively new to Etsy so l hope to make some new friends.
Hello everyone! I am melissa and I am based in Cornwall. I make vessels, bowls, decorations and loads of buttons in porcelain - I love the translusant qualities!
Hi Laura and Melissa! Thanks for joining us! Laura I really like your Polymer Clay jewellery - really vibrant and attractive! Melissa your buttons are really cute and love the butterfly bowls too!
Hi! I'm new here after I was invited to this team. I'm Amanda and I work with polymer clay to create miniatures for jewelry, as well as beading. It's lovely to be here!
