The biggest thing I struggle with is shipping from Abu Dhabi! It makes me frustrated since I'm new here. I mail paintings and would hate to have to limit myself.

Any good services or favorite shipping companies for international large stuff?

hi dears, I have query about selling items in etsy from Dubai. I am not having any license to sell my crochet patterns and dresses in etsy. being a Dubai resident I need to take license for selling in etsy? for that what need to do. thanks in advance

I personally don't think you need a license to sell online. It is a handmade small business online and I don't think you require to have a license but I am not 100% sure..

I just moved to Dubai recently and I was wondering if you could help me with some useful information on how to sell on Etsy in the Emirates. Do I need to register somewhere or do I need a licence to sell online? I dont make / sell handcrafts in big quantities. I know someone have already asked this question but I wanted to be sure that I dont miss any changes in local regulations.

Hi everyone, any advice on who the main competitors to strike a shipping deal with from the UAE are? Aramex, DHL, what other really good options are there? I had some trouble with Fedex once and am wary of their service.. who else?

I'd like to open an etsy shop but have no clue about shipping. I gather that most of the sellers ship using emirates post. Can anyone give rough estimation of how much it costs for shipping products less than 0.5 kgs. The emirates post mail calculator shows pretty high rates for international shipping whereas many sellers here send parcels as low as 5$ worldwide. It would be of great help to me if someone can answer it.

HI Anitha, I am also new in Etsy. My sister works in Emirates Post and I know that Empost is using DHL as their courier partner in all countries that they operate. I guess that's the reason for the high price. Based on experience, it also just takes a few days. Those 5$ rate is using USPS or their local postal company.

Ohh, I have to correct myself. Emirates Post and Empost are two different company. Empost is the courier and this is what you would use if you want a speedy delivery. They are the one tied-up with DHL. The Emirates Post is the local post which has Expess Mail Service but once it reaches the country of destination, it will be handled by that country's local post. I have a query with regards to shipping charges. I am new to etsy and trying to start my online store based out of Dubai. I see you all more experienced here and would like to get some suggestion on which shipping options to go for in order to avail the lest shipment cost like $5.00 to UK and USA , as I see many of the sellers from UAE are charging only $ 5.00 as shipment cost .

So I just launched my Etsy shop but it’s on vacation mode, cuz I don’t know the shipping prices, I want to be able to ship both to UAE and internationally, but I heard it’s really expensive... I sell stickers for approximately 3 dollars... I don’t want my customers to pay 20 more dollars just for a 3 dollar sticker..  any help is appreciated I’m stuck here

Hi guys, I cannot see any answers to your questions.. Has noone of you received any answers on the UAE shipping questions?? Or is it me who doesnt know how to see answers.. I also find emirate post excessively expensive, although I like the fact that they charge you on weight rather than on volume.. Still super expensive.. What options are there? I tried aramex they're much much worse, not to mention that their service is not so good either, had many bad experiences with them. What to do?
