Greetings all: This is new to me and I do not know what an etsy team is or does, but I can already see the potential for support and networking, etc... Most of my art has been painting on canvas over the years, but then I got into sculpture assemblage leading to my current series consisting of antique cameras with legs and arms. Also recently I purchased over 100 pieces of nice Beach Glass and I plan to learn how to drill holes to make jewelrey, something that will be a very new experience for me. I also have many old foreign coins I will work with as well. So, the first thing I thought of seeing this etsy group is having people to bounce ideas off of and to compare notes with in the jewelry making community. Right now I am a "Picker" for a living buying and selling antiques and collectibles, including doing Antique Faires. But an increasing part of my income is coming from selling my art as well, and I plan to build this up into the future.

Maybe we could all have a de stash swap. I am fairly sure that most of us have supplies we don't particularly need or use anymore and they could be put to good use by others.

Hi all, since we are all so local, and Yang mentioned a destash swap, I have a bunch of clear plastic clamshell boxes that I use to sell groups of my beads for destash. I have at least 150 of them and wanted to know if anybody wanted all or some. They are the ones that Swarovski Crystals are sold in. About 3.5" x 1.75" and the little box to put items in is about 1.5" x .75" deep. I can usually fit 30-40 beads in these. They are just the right size to staple your business card to the back. I know you'd love them ;-) Any takers?

Do you guys think we should have a "meet and greet" online? A little bit about each of us, and our main products, would also help with networking. We could trade ideas for upcoming art events or craft boutiques. Or even have a once a month coffee?

A meeting would be great, where we could throw around ideas and get to know one another a bit. A de stash is always good, and I am very interested in learning more about participating in art & craft shows.
