Question About Member Shops that Qualify for Karma Points

Hi, I've just joined. This team looks like a lot of fun!!

I was reading through the Discussion posts and just saw a comment that only members registered on the website (treasurypromo.com/index.php?sad=members) apply toward karma points. I'm a little confused. I see 174 member shops on the Etsy team page, but only 22 shops actually registered.

When will all member shops, as shown on the Etsy team page, be included? It would be nice to have all those great choices for treasury making AND karma points.

Because mostly of them were featured in treasuries (Members who are registered on the treasurypromo.com) so they spent all their karma points.
If they wants to be back in a member list, they should make more new treasuries.

What do we do with Karma Points? I am new to this. lol

Hi Christine,
Karma points is necessary as a way to count treasuries you made with our members shop items.
When you make treasuries and submit them in our site treasurypromo.com you earn karma points, but when someone makes treasury with your items, your karma points go to the treasury curator.
So you can be sure that if you make treasuries, people will also do the same.

So are we only supposed to use shops that have karma points in our treasuries? And if they don't have karma points, do we NOT get karma points, even if they are team shops and we use them in the first three rows?

Yes, use only from member list with postive karma users.
You will get karma points only for shops wohes karma>-5

I was wondering:
What you do with this commission points? What is the purpose of having them?

And one very important thing that i wish to remind to shops, specially to photography shops:
Your watermark should be unvisible when the picture is small. Otherwise it automatically falls off the possibility to be featured on the Etsy's Front. please take into consideration.

@Savenna, purpose of having them is a way to control some processes.

- We give 5 karma points for inviting new shops to the team.
- We give 3 karma points to curator, if his treasury gets 5 votes with 3 stars for excellent treasury quality!

In the future we are planing to add few other interesting ways to get points back to the "game" :)

@Savenna I have seen FP treasuries that had company logo's in the small picture in the past. Is this a new criteria? If so can you say where it is posted? :)

Well I think I will adjust how the small picture displays so the card takes up more of the box with less "white" space which will make my watermark non existant until you go to the listing it self. Thanks Savenna for the tip! :)

@Melissa - I have heard this too about the copyright and logo thing. I'm not sure if it is "written" anywhere but definitely know it is not liked. I have another shop with copyrights all over the pictures and they never get in treasuries lol!

I spent my lunch hour adjusting my pictures so you can't see my shop name and I discovered I like it better that way! :)

I just joined and a few days ago there were two pages of shops to choose from. Today there is one.

I like the concept of this team, but it doesn't seem possible to create beautiful treasuries that are unique with so few people involved.

So my question is: Why are the members on Etsy not included on the website?

I just made a treasury.... I don't think I got points because I used a shop twice in the list.
Oh well....
But what I am really wondering is if there is a place for my treasury link to be posted in this discussion section. Or so I just post on the Promo web page?
