I make nearly all my stuff from upcycled cardboard boxes, laser-cut and painted to look like metal. (I just finished my first commission using new material, MDF. I could've used cardboard, but the client wanted something more permanent.)

This isn't exactly upcycled but it was something that was bound for the trash because it was out of adjustment and the outside was dirty but now it is a beautiful well working 50-year-old sewing machine. A wonderful all metal 1962 restored Singer sewing machine that works great.
