I opened my shop only about a month ago and I've had two sales quite quickly - really didn't expect it. I had a Folksy shop for ages and it did nothing. The main difference this time is that I have been posting my Facebook page, website and Etsy shop everywhere I possibly can. I have Pinterest and Instagram and I have been networking online loads. Every time, I spend hours (and I mean loads of hours) doing this, I see spikes in sales and enquiries. I'm told it takes a lot of time for people to get to know and trust you, but if you aren't networking - they will never see you. Equally, I share, like and comment on other businesses trying to get exposure and visit their Etsy shops, etc. It's a two way thing. I also make sure I have links to my Etsy shop on my Facebook page and from my website to my page (adding Etsy link today) etc. That way it's easy to steer people to their preferred method of shopping. Some would rather contact me on Facebook, others email/ring me up after viewing my website and others just buy from Etsy. Good luck to all and hope success is around the next corner for everyone! X
