Use Rit Ink? Advice?

Hello,
I have started using Rit ink for my tie dye shirts. I have used the salt in the ink solution, as well as the ink fixing solution, however, it still fades. Besides using other brands, do you have any advice? I want to sell these shirts, so obviously they can't fade too much.. Thanks!

Rit always fades for me :/ I don't have advice for preventing that, but maybe you could sell them once they've faded a bit and market them as "pastel" so it seems intentional. That has worked for me before [:

Re: Use Rit Ink? Advice?

As you have stated RIT is not a dye, but rather a stain. No matter what steps you follow it will fade. Sorry, but the only solution is to not use RIT at all for a quality product. You could save these by purchasing Procion MX dyes and dyeing over the shirts or upcycling them in ways that they will not be washed as much as clothing. Sorry I have no other solutions for you.
