Hello fellow thrifters!!!
I'm Vero - a 40 year old French Mom who quit her toxic job about a year ago. I'm now ready to start working again. FOR ME this time. No matter how many hours as long as it is for me!! I'm thinking of opening a "vintage" kind of shop on Etsy (selling 70's adult and children clothes, accessories and retro homeware). I'm still working on my stock and the way I want to present the things I have collected. I'm really excited about the whole thing but I really don't know what to expect. I suspect that all the shops are not equal... But I wonder how well it CAN work?! I've tried to find advice and help on the French teams but... It didn't work as well as I thought. For some reason, I think I'll get more help from overseas!!!
I have an appointment on Thursday in an "business incubator" to present my project. It helps you to organize your business (whichever it is) in terms of tax and legal advice. They also help you to think ahead.
Can some of you take you 2 minutes to explain to me what to expect, what you like at Etsy, what it is missing? Mistakes easily made by beginners?! Any of you wishing to share their experience and goals, I'd be gratefull.
Thank you a thousand times,
