So I'm going to chuck some ideas out there for what this team is and where we're headed. You are highly encouraged to do the same, as well as point out what ideas you like and don't like.
1. Have a creative enviornment in which to conspire with other steampunk artists, sellers and enthusiasts.
2. SteampunkFactory on facebook (moderated and updated by a team leader)
3. SteampunkFactory on twitter (moderated and updated by a different team leader)
4. Eventually www.thesteampunkfactory.com, paid for, designed and updated by my sister and I. Ultimate goal: the first thing that pops up when one googles "steampunk". Perhaps the benefit of vendors avoiding etsy, possibly paypal fees.
5. Digital collages: large digital images composed of smaller images of team members' items- including up to all members, curated by up to five people.
6: Epic costumes: A character or persona will be chosen to base a showpiece costume out of. The costume will be designed by one member. Budgets will be given for each part of the costume. Members will bid on which part of the costume they would like to contribute. A sketch/watercolor will be created (by me most likely) and the virtual outfit will be put for sale on etsy (under the shop steampunkfactory), and various other sites. If the costume sells, all parts and pieces will be collected at agreed price and remaining profit will go towards team point system.
7. Team Point System: basically a way to reward team members and leaders through something with actual value. See post on team points.
8. Short story challenges: Most everyone in here is super creative. Whether individual, partner, or whole team, I think we can have some fun with this genre.
9. Item drawings: On the occaision I, and possibly team leaders will donate steampunk wares for drawings, raffles, challenges, etc.
