I run a Steampunk LARP at Dundracon (in California in February) every year. This year, I thought I'd solicit character/subplot suggestions from the brilliant members of my Etsy teams, as well as compile a list of suppliers to pass out to my potential players for costumes and props.

The Story So Far:
It is the night of the Gala Event celebrating the opening of the Crawley Jewel Exhibit at the Royal Museum.
Assembled are the richest, most influential (and in some cases, most available) ladies and gentleman, bachelors and young women who walk the streets of London.
They are not all what they seem, however. A crew of nefarious confidence men and women has infiltrated this event. They are there to steal the crown jewel of this collection, the Devil's Eye Diamond. Though the diamond is rumored to be cursed, and to have taken the lives of at least 10 prior owners, the crew's shadowy patron demands it.
It has also been advertised, in certain underground circles, that the crew will be seeking to obtain a new member, to replace Evangaline Clemment, nicked in their last job.
And of course, Scotland Yard is ever present, both visibly and in disguise, to keep the Crawley Collection safe.
The crew needs to steal the diamond and deliver it to their patron while finding a replacement for Evangaline. Scotland Yard is there to protect the collection and the Devil's Eye. The rich and powerful are there to rub elbows, as well as operating on their own hidden agendas.
