Shop Feedback Game

So a member recently posted a request for feedback on their shop. Regrettably, I had to close that thread because it broke the excludability rule. However, a thread where any members new or old can request feedback on their shops is a super attractive and a great idea. So without further ado, the game:

1. To request feedback, simply post two feedbacks responding to the two shops that posted above you in a single post. Responses should be somewhere around 50 to 100 words (a short paragraph) for each shop, and should include constructive criticisms as well as props. Give like you'd like to receive.

2. The first person to post does not need to critique anyone. The second person need only critique the first (This post does not count, for I will finish the game in a few months).

3. If you have already posted and received feedback, please put "SKIP" at the beginning of your additional comments and voluntary feedback. You are not allowed to request feedback more than once. Do not give feedback on the shop that posted above you if it says "SKIP". If you have special requests for feedback (such as "only photography", or "convo only"), please specify in your post.

Thanks for reading, have at it!

Re: Shop Feedback Game

Um... so I'm the first one on the thread? Eep! Please critique my shop!

I feel pretty confident about my photography, but I'm really concerned about my pricing. Personally, I'm kind of cheap, so I have a tendency to price things cheaply, perhaps too cheaply? Anyway, if you lovely steampunk afficianados would let me know, I would be SO grateful! I am also open to other critiques, of course, but pricing is my current concern.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Shop Feedback Game

So, feedback on DemimondeArt: I agree that your photography is great, but just an idea - you could add some photographs of people wearing the jewellery. This would help illustrate the size/length of necklaces etc. With regards to your pricing, some pieces I think you could charge quite a lot more for - particularly the cheaper earrings you have listed :) So in conclusion, love your shop, and don't be afraid to ask for a little more! Btw, love these: http://www.etsy.com/listing/104898901/beaded-tribal-steampunk-feather-earrings

Re: Shop Feedback Game

For DemimondeArt I love the diversity of items that you offer. Overall photography is great with interesting backgrounds. The only ones I found a bit distracting were the ones of the mini terrariums photographed outside. They faded into the background a bit and were too far away from the items to really see them well. I have to agree with Ellen that many of your prices are too low. Don't be afraid to value your art! I especially liked the portrait pendants but thought you could charge more for them. They are very unique. I especially like the one below.

Ellen, you did not request any specific feedback. I love your graphics. Very unique shop! One suggestion on the photography, vary the backgrounds a bit, I felt there was too much white. I thought your prices were also a bit too low. I used to be an antique dealer and just for example the shops I sold from used to get $6 to $10 for vintage postcards. I especially like the iPhone covers like the one below:

For those following me in this posting I would appreciate any form of critique including photography, quality of items offered, and pricing. Have at me! Steam on!

Re: Shop Feedback Game

Bea - Special fx: Love your shop and your style. Love the diversity of materials and genre's. Like the direction you went in with the mix of Victorian and Asian! Your opening/overview got my interest right away. Love the way you set up the pics, the settings are wonderful and interesting. Lighting is Victorian & has a romantic feel. Found a few of the pics were slightly out of focus. Could be intentional, but I found it a little distracting. Prices are very reasonable. Might bump them up?

Ellen - Beware the Og - tough one for me to critique. But generally agree with Bea. Perhaps a bit too much white.Very creative variety of items through out.

I'm a new member. Very excited about joining the SteamPunkFactory team. I would appreciate it if you could critique my Etsy Shop - BaronSteampunk. All feedback is welcome -pics, pricing, material. I'm new at this & would love to learn from you. Thanks.
