Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

Howdy! I'm Kristie and I'm wildly passionate about horses. I'm blessed to live on 100-acres where 13 equines (2 of which are 'mine') live and roam.

I named my company in honor of them as they have always been a huge guiding force in my life.

I look forward to connecting with other people who LOVE horses!

Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

Hi, I am Donna and I love horses. We are on 40 acres and currently have 7 horses and 2 pack mules. My youngest daughter is a trainer and is at nursing school but has 4 horses with her. Her favorite mare Misty just had a colt two weeks ago. Misty was adopted from the blm and a great mustang that she shows in hunter-jumper. The father is ours and a reining quarter horse.

My art inspired by horses is pottery that is fired with horsehair applied at end of firing and then I sometimes braid a piece of horsehair on the top.

Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

Hi folks,
I have been riding and have owned horses for over 30 yrs.I now have 2 horses that I keep on my small farm. One of my horses is now 31 yrs old...I competed with him (barrel racing, team penning) till he was 20 and I still trail ride him now.....he is amazing....doesn t limp....eats well and keeps the younger one in line. My other horse is 6 yrs and I compete in Reining with him. I have a small boutique( pictured in my avatar) where I have my soaps and bath products. I use local fruits and vegetables form my garden or a neighbors, in my soapmaking. I also have a neighbor with goats so I buy goatmilk from him to make goatmilk soap. The soaps are made with vegetable oils and are free of parabens, detergents or phosphates.
I started washing my horses and dog with my soaps after I read the labels on the bottles and was disgusted about all the chemicals and detergents in them. Since then, their coats are soft..shiny and never dry.
Commercial brands will make something to get the most profit and detergents add bubbles and foam but are drying to skin and hair. Using coconut oil will give you bubbles but costs more. Its always a good idea to read the labels on your products.

Hi, I'm Ashley! I have loved horses since I was a little girl, in fact that is how I got my start in the art field. My bedroom was lined with drawings and paintings of them!

I don't own a horse, yet, but as my husband and I are searching for a hobby farm to call home, hopefully I soon will! In the meantime I have to settle for hunt-seat lessons!

Glad to join an equine-loving team!

Hi, I am Suzanne. I own a 40 acre equestrian facility in NJ named Patewood Farm where I teach and train classical French dressage. I also breed Lusitanos. Simply put, horses are my life :). I started Stately Steed to share some of the products I have designed over the years to make my job easier. My passion is sharing horses with others that love them!

Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

Hello all, I'm Jessica. I have loved horses since day one and have never lived a day in my life without a horse in my back yard. That's my baby in my profile pic. His name is Peanut. He is an eight year old quarter horse, morgan mix. He is also completely blind, but he's still very rideable and has been easy to train. His pasture and barn buddy is my mom's horse. She's a quarter horse, arabian, appaloosa mix and her name is Echo.

My other love is ducks, I have 40 of them. Collectively they eat about as much as a horse does! They are a lot of fun to watch and are super easy keepers.

Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

I'm a cowgirl living in Florida hence the name of my shop, Florida Cowgirls. I hand craft cowgirl jewelry and sell other cowgirl accessories on my web site. Besides Etsy, I travel to horse shows and rodeos and set up as a vendor.

I am an animal lover and love horses. Look forward to getting to know this team better.

Hi, I'm Vera and a passionate horse lover. Unfortunately I don't own a horse anymore right now but I'm lucky to knoe people in my area that let me ride their horses.
I also show my passion for horses through my work. I am designing Arabian Show Halters, regular halters with beadings and saddle pads on request. I love to let a horse shine through my work.

Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

Hi. I'm unfortunately horseless (I feel your pain Vera) and since I moved to AZ after graduating with an equine science I've not had the opportunity to ride. Turns out there are no buses to where the horsey jobs are here (That I'm aware of) so I've been rather jobless using my Etsy to support myself. This is my second Etsy shop (The other one is more dog related) since I figured it was about time I did something horsey over here! :)

I like show jumping but I've never gotten to jump (yet). I like polo and did do that in college. And I'd love to get back to riding soon. It's been far too long!

Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

Hi everyone!
I am so excited to be getting started on Etsy. Making my horseshow bows has gotten addicting!! I am a hunter/jumper rider and have a horse named Stella that I got about 6 months ago. She is a 16 H Chestnut Hanovarian mare. I have ridden ever since I was six years old and I still have my large pony that I used to show.. she is almost 30!!! I love everything about horses and going to shows. I am very excited to be a part of this team! :)

I've been riding for 10+ years and specialize in the western disciplines. I have 2 horses, Hunter who is in my picture and I've had forever! I also have Charlie I have had for 3 years and who I mainly compete on now.

Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

Hi, I'm Jan and I have a 12 year old Paint gelding named The Investor McKenzie, Mac for short. Mac and I have been together for 5 years. I started in jewelry because my friends and I wanted unique horsey-themed items that weren't able to be found just anywhere. After studying different techniques, I discovered metal clay, which I LOVE! It was around that time that I learned about the huge problem of human trafficking in the US, particularly North Carolina. Mission Gems was launched for the sole purpose of earning money to donate to organizations directly engaged in the prevention and intervention of human trafficking. Mission Gems provides a creative outlet as my profession is in the technical field and because my time is donated to make the jewelry, I feel like I’m doing something to help others. So, ride a horse … you just might go places you never thought you could.

Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

Hello to all! My name is Ashley and I live on a small working horse farm with my husband. We have 6 horses here currently - our newest addition is a blue roan Hancock bred foundation Quarter Horse mare who I hope to begin showing in the American Ranch Horse Association after the birth of our daughter (we are due Sept 7!)

I've just started up my Etsy shop, so I am still populating my inventory, but currently I make polos, non-crochet fly bonnets, and saddle pads. I am working on some horse-themed quilts and quilted items. I also make quilts and baby items (burp rags, etc).

I'm looking forward to connecting with everyone here! Thanks for having me :)

Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

HI I have lived with and loved horses most of my life. My daughter is a clinician, educator, trainer, and consultant. She has inspired much of my work. Joan Sladek/JS Training. We have always had horses in our lives, living on our property and elsewhere. My partner and sister-in-law Linda Natco ,who owns Little Pond Graphic Productions, also has horses and a grand daughter who loves them. We are a family of artists. Joan came up with Cowgirl on Fire, David Sladek my son, a known illustrator, animator, created the design. We made a hoodie. I thought of the name Intuhorses and Linda a great graphic artist started to play. One thing led to another and now here we are on Etsy after being around the block a bit at horse shows and Equine Affair. We are selling our original wearables in our Etsy Shop, but also have a website for horse people. We are happy to be here and look forward to becoming part of this community.

Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

HI! I've been a professional sculptor for over 23 years. That's a long time to get a lot of work done! Easily bored, I am always tinkering around, doing new things. In the past, I have done monumental bronze work and a lot of equine sculpture commissions. However, as everyone knows, the economy just isn't what it used to be and big jobs don't dome walking through the front door anymore. So, I adapted. I do have a collection that is manufactured overseas, and some of it I include in my shop for an attractive price point. However, most of the items are handmade and the newest jewelry designs are offered here. I design for a couple catalog companies, including Back in the Saddle (jewelry and home décor).
My horse life is as full as it can be! I competed in dressage for 9 years in Wellington, FL. When I moved to Aiken, SC, I bought a young Hanoverian who I raised and am training in dressage. Of course I have the token farm miniature horse, Stewie! With two Australian Shepherd, and two Pekingese, and the three horses, I have a lot to play with here and they are constantly my inspiration.

Re: Welcome! Introduce Yourself.

Hi! I'm a horse euthusiast and dog lover. My silversmithing shop is actually located in by barn, directly across from my tack room and abutting my mare's stall. I love it, but to be honest it can be alttle annoying when she starts knocking her bucket around two hours before feeding time and I'm still trying to work. Seriously though, it is the best place I could imagine getting to work. We have three horses and four dogs. It is awesome to be surrouded by them. It is very peaceful (except at feeding time haha).

I am very happy to have found this team and I look forward to becoming a active member and getting to know everyone.
