What do you like to read?

I like crime thrillers, espionage, murder mysteries. I read a lot of other stuff but that's usually what I read for pleasure and relaxation.

I tend to enjoy philosophy, mythology and folklore as prominent themes in my reading... I started Jung's "The Undiscovered Self" the other day, and also want to start "Consolation of Philosophy" by Boethius soon (a re-read in that case; it's one of my favorite books).

I usually go for horror or crime books.  I am also attracted to stories where the main character, either fiction or non-fiction, has a disorder or is screwed up emotionally in some way.

My favorite guilty pleasure was the Twilight series. :)

My favorites are usually some form of historical fiction. The most completely wonderful book that I read last year was "A Gentleman in Moscow" by Amor Towles.

Murder mysteries and crime thrillers. (Fiction... I'm not a fan of true crime.)

Horror and thrillers.

Paranormal fiction (usually vampires and lycanthrope based) including (but not limited to) paranormal romance. 

Apocalyptic themes (pandemics, zombies, etc). 

Non-fiction in the form of naturopathic medicine, psychology, medical journals, occasional religious studies.

And sometimes, when I just need a little of what I call "brain dead reading", a contemporary romance will do the trick.

the maddaddamm trilogy by margaret attwood is a must read!

i read the first book, crake and oryx,  years ago and only a few months ago found out ms. attwood had written two more books.

i like reading all sorts of well written books.  i appreciate all suggestions.

sometimes a great notion is always a nice read.

Biographies and nything to do with English history.
