Rainbows and unicorns?

I really loved the Rainbows and unicorns thread on the old forum! I was looking forward to find it on the new forums as well, but it's gone, together with everything else! 

Since negativity was forbidden on the thread, I'm going to stop complaining and just write that January brought me 3 sales so far, which doubled the number of my sales! (I opened a shop in October.) Who knew you could sell Christmas ornaments after Christmas? ;)

What great things do you have to share?

Rainbow:  nice weather, stores started to reopen, there are enough supplies in the supermarkets.

Unicorn:  unable to put emojis in the forums.

Yes.. it is "glitchy ". I was looking at a sellers offerings and a pop up said. ~ you may browse , but we cannot complete an order at this time"....what the heck is that all about?  Thurs. 3:10 CDST.

I agree, the site is glitchy!  Right now  there are lots of threads about the dashboard not working right and payment processing issues. I wish etsy would just fix some of these issues instead of always testing new features.

BElieve or not.  I found out unicorn canned meat. YYEESS, it does exist. "gogoolize" it. It is vegetarian.

It is 35 degrees out and snowing. Maybe this will help get the wild fires under control. Just 3 days ago it was in the 80's!

Seriously!?  Quite right about hopes for helping with the fires - even if it just slows them down enough for them to get a better handle on things.

Been a different year for so many reasons.

So bizarre! I read that somewhere in

the rockies, the temp dropped 60 degrees in 1 day.

There is an inch of snow that stuck to the ground in Loveland, Colorado. More in the mountains and it is cold! It's 9 am here and 31 degrees.

Beautiful state of Illinois, USA, temperature at 65 F (18.3 C). Completely cloudy, soft wind breeze.

And I don't watch, read or listen to the news to know about riots, violence, political arguments, virus complications, so on. The day looks nice and cozy. Strange, but beautiful.  Unusual and delightful.

Rainbows:  peace and quiet in the neighborhood, no riots, no manifestations, kids are playing on the street, there are neighbors gatherings in their front yards / garden.

Unicorn:  I just ran out of vanilla ice cream.

Rainbow- Went to grocery store the other day. Charged on my card, but it showed declined! Was a surprise to me. But I haven't been keeping track.

Anyway- I'm friendly with the clerk , we always talk about our cats,what collectibles he's found and he's just a nice, nice young man.

Well he told me not to worry about it and that he would take care of it. Charge was about $40. He told me to just take the groceries.

I said thanks and took my groceries and left. I went to bank ASAP, got the money and put it in a holiday card for him. He was on a break when i got back to store so i left the sealed card with his supervisor.

I told him it was so kind of him to do that for me but i didn't want his cash drawer to be short at the end of the day. I knew he could possibly lose his job. Plus i think another clerk/ manager overheard him helping me. So i didn't want him to get in trouble as well.

Just a sweet,kind thing to do for me.
