Rainbows and unicorns?

I really loved the Rainbows and unicorns thread on the old forum! I was looking forward to find it on the new forums as well, but it's gone, together with everything else! 

Since negativity was forbidden on the thread, I'm going to stop complaining and just write that January brought me 3 sales so far, which doubled the number of my sales! (I opened a shop in October.) Who knew you could sell Christmas ornaments after Christmas? ;)

What great things do you have to share?

Awwww..I'm so happy rainbows and unicorns found its way over here.

I still have orders to get out. And I have plans for new items that I can now start to get to....things are looking good!

I'm gonna pin this so it won't get lost .

Congrats GoodLuckDuck! I sold some Christmas ornaments last year in April, so it can definitely be a year round thing. End of Dec- mid Jan was dead, but I finally got some sales this month and made my 100th sale a couple days ago!

I remember my 100th sale...the good thing is that feeling only gets better with each milestone sale you make. Congrats!

January is surprisingly okay so far! The only down side is that I still have a little bit of Christmas left to put away :)

i believe the last of the christmas trees were taken down in the houses on our street. so you weren't the only one!

It was light out here until a little after 6 pm and I was excited, it has been getting dark at around 5.

I know, right? I looked out my window the other day at 5pm and it wasn't dark! It's amazing how much of a mood lifter that is.

Rainbows: I already exceeded last January's gross sales by 13%.

Unicorns: If I finish the order I'm working on, I still have a nibble for a custom order if I haven't lost her due to neglect. Even if I have, I think I'm gonna do the project for practice.

I posted a listing while in class (I know, I know. I need to pay attention) and when I got home it already had been clicked on via an ad! No sale, but I'm still happy someone wanted to look at it haha

This month's sales are surprisingly about the same as last month. Last year was so full of life stuff including moving twice, that I really haven't put any effort into creating or listing new items. I did recently start a new project I've been wanting to do for a long time so that's exciting. Being creative is so essential to my well-being so it's been nice to tap into that again.

This month's sales are suprisingly steady.  Normally things slow down to a trickle after Christmas, but I've had sales almost daily all month.  

I am looking forward to this weekend.  I bought some wall decals from an Etsy shop and I got them late last week.  I hope to be caught up on orders by Saturday evening so I can finish the make-over to my sewing room. Happy happy happy dance.

January has been good to me -- just below last year, and this is despite the fact that I was closed (vacation mode) for 2 full weeks at the end of December.

I have a bunch of new designs in the works, but not enough drive to get them ready to list (why?!).

Right now I'm itching for the weekend, because I just want to play some video games rather than work. Heh, heh, heh.
