As someone with Very Flat Feet I have over the years gravitated to wearing hiking boots as my go-to everyday shoes. The higher-top or high-tops add a bit of support to my ankle area, I add arch supports. Like a roomy toe box (gave up on "fashionable" styling & high heels when I quite office work eons ago) & overall good quality. While I can still find my current choice of footwear mfg. it's getting harder to find & naturally the price is going up to accommodate the rarity & demand (yeah, right) So, any recommendations on a brand to check out would be appreciated.
Hubby and I buy Keen. They are awesome and rarely need to be replaced.
@artbyjocelyn - Thank you for reply. Currently have a pair of steel-toed Keens. They are comfortable & roomy but do feel a bit heavier. My better-half likes the steel toes so he doesn't feel as guilty about asking me to help him with a project that involves the possibility of hurting a foot. He can also keep a pair of shoes "forever" but I've found if I regularly wear just about any brand, after a year while they look good right down to the treads, the support or stuff you don't see has "worn out". This is obviously my feet being more sensitive to slight changes in structure. Our most local sporting goods store gobbled up by an even bigger specialty retailer & the choices/brands now offered are completely different. Will keep looking for options, may end up with Keen in the end.
