Order returned to me because it was unclaimed- No response from buyer

It apparently sat in front of their door for 16 days unclaimed. So P O sent it back to me .

I hope this person is O.K.

I messaged buyer with all info yesterday ( tracking history in detail)

Including that i had to pay $ 4 for them to return it to me.

I haven't heard back from buyer as yet.

How long do I wait if no response until i just refund  minus the $ 4?

It was sent on May 27th.

Is there a time limit on refunding? I don't want to get cut off from giving him his $ back.

I think you have  either 100 or 180 days to refund--(not 100% on the timeline), and I think this is from the time the purchase was made--again not sure on that fact either.

I ran into the same thing one time  in a sort of similar situation. So am only going by my memory as to the times then.

I too actually worried about my buyer having had something happen. I never  ever heard from her--not even after the refund.

At 1st I was frustrated but then got to thinking something must've happened to my customer.

I'm with you there- complete silence is so rare... @Lionfishvintage and the package just sitting there for over 2 weeks? And no request for a refund. Even though it sounds snoopy, I probably would search their name and town to see if anything pops up...

Hi Elizabeth.  Yes I did an obit search for NYC. Nothing. So maybe he's ill?

So we're u affected by the flooding sts there?

My powers out so it's hard to see posts etc no internet but oddly enough I have cell service!

Had an order returned to me because of 'no longer at this address' written on package. I went thru the process of emails, etc. but buyer never answered and post office didn't have a forwarding address. I just went ahead and refunded minus the shipping. I never did hear back from buyer. There's only so much we can do in situations like this but knowing we tried goes a long way in being fair.
